One Independence Day craft that they can have fun with and is easy is crayon scratching. You will need to have crayons of all colors but it is very important that you have a black crayon, white paper, paper clips or a used up pen. The kids will need to draw various designs on the paper. Make sure they color darkly with all of the colors that they use. Once the paper has been all colored in you want to have the kids color over the whole page with black crayon. It is very important that you have the children press down hard when they color with the black crayon. Once it is all colored the kids can use the paper clips to scratch out their own fireworks.

Another one that all kids will enjoy is torches for Independence Day. You will need to have old newspapers that you can roll into a large cone shape. The kids can paint the cones anyway they want to. When it is dry they can put red and yellow tissue paper into the cone so that it looks like flames. Then they can be the Statue of Liberty and celebrate this holiday in a more fun way for them.
