Dream Girls star Jennifer Hudson auditioned for the American Idol title and lost. But that loss was just the right opening for her to enter the movie, Dream Girls co-starring Beyonce Knowles and Jamie Foxx. And now she has won the much coveted Oscar award in the best supporting actress category.

Looking back at her journey to this new limelight that is shining so brightly on her Jennifer Hudson reckons that if she had won the American Idol contest she may never have had the chance to star in Dream Girls and hence this great honor of winning an Oscar award.

Do not get dismayed by your temporary defeats in life for they may just bring that break that would change your life forever for the better.

Truly “every adversity and every loss has the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit for those who have a positive mental attitude.” If you will take a mental journey to your past you will be able to realize that most of those “adversities” that you suffered led to equivalent or greater benefits.

But for one to effectively benefit from adversity, you should always maintain a positive mental attitude. A positive mental attitude is an amalgam of hope, faith, enthusiasm, persistence and similar everyday virtues.

Your adversity or loss provides you with opportunities such as the ability to develop the resistance necessary to develop the strength to overcome great obstacles. When you handle your loss well it helps you to develop self-confidence, perseverance, and a better understanding of yourself.

Think positively and keep on working in your positive direction. Nurture self-confidence and welcome your problems with a positive mental attitude and turn them into opportunities, you may be the next Jenniffer Hudson in your area of specialty.
