Spare The Rod And Improve The Child

Your child is a gift from God. It is a symbol of love and a memory of all those beautiful moments you both had spent together. Remember, how great you felt when that child first smiled at you and started to walk.
When you beat your child, the apple of your eye, you hope to teach him the best lessons in life. But, trust me; this is not going to help you or your child in any way. When a child starts to understand its surroundings, it becomes very curious to know everything it is not aware of. It is human nature to be curious after all.
If you stop your child from doing something, say, for instance, eating chocolates, it will have a natural tendency to hide from you and eat more chocolates. Your child does not do this to go against your orders or because it is getting spoiled. It does this just to know why, at all, did you give him such an order and what will happen if more chocolates are eaten.
If you beat your child, you are indirectly stopping your child from learning. All you need to do is tell your child about the consequences and leave it on its own to face the situation. Its own experiences will teach and make your child strong.
Also, beatings will create a feeling of hatred for you in your child’s mind and you will never be able to become an idol for your child.
So, give up beatings and stop scaring that poor thing. Just be a friend who will guide him and love him throughout.
